Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth
The centre is open exclusively for groups and can offer bespoke workshops and tours around the themes of sustainability, wellbeing, nature, gardening and more. Catering options from their vegetarian café can be provided with many of the ingredients sourced locally and from their gardens. Free coach parking and entry for coach drivers and tour guides. FITs can book on to their short courses programme. Accommodation on-site includes 4-star 24 twin or double rooms with bed and breakfast, and two eco cabins for up to 18 clients with bunk-beds and a communal area. Corris Craft Centre, Machynlleth
There are nine individual workshops at Corris Craft Centre, with some offering hands-on fun experiences for groups. These include pottery painting (max 20), chocolate making (max 12), candle making, and furniture building. The Dyfi Distillery offer private visits and tutored tastings of its award-winning artisan gin (max 20). Cwm Weeg, Newtown
A 15th century farmhouse surrounded by three acres of landscaped gardens, and over 20 acres of woodland and wild flower meadows. Private group bookings available outside the limited public opening times by prior arrangement. Private talks of up to 1hr on a variety of subjects, a tour of the house, and homemade tea and cake can also be included on request (min 10 - max 100). Coach parking available. Elan Valley, near Rhayader
Famous for its six dams and Victorian architecture, Elan Valley covers an area of 72 sqm with a visitor centre and gift shop. Pen-y-Garreg Dam tours are only available to the public on selected open days throughout the year, but your clients can arrange a private, fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ tour. It's the only Victorian dam in the UK where visitors can go inside. The impressive architectural 123 foot high, 528 feet long dam was built in 1903 by Engineer Eustace Tickell. The tunnel accessed by steps is lit by apertures in the downstream side of the dam, and leads to the central tower. Spectacular views of the dam wall and the valley below can be seen once on the central platform. Private ranger tours of the estate are also offered where a ranger joins the passengers on their coach/minibus and talks about the Elan Valley Estate whilst visiting the six dams. Llanerchaeron, Nr Aberaeron

Welsh Lavender Limited, Builth Wells
The first lavender farm in Wales is located high in the rolling hills north of Bannau Brycheiniog, near Builth Wells. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a day in the Welsh countryside, overlooking beautiful gardens, a swimming pond and fields of blue lavender. The farm has now grown to include beautiful gardens, a distillery, shop, café and accommodation. Open all year round, your clients can take a tour of the fields (booking required), gardens and distillery before enjoying tea and cake overlooking the spectacular countryside. There are plenty of places to sit for a picnic. The lavender is in bloom during July & August. The farm is open all year to wander, shop or swim. North Wales
Anglesey Bees, Llanddaniel, Anglesey
A range of bespoke, private beekeeping training courses and experiences are offered ranging from 1hr 30mins to 3hrs. Available between April and August, experiences include 'meet the bees', 'taste the honey' 'bee curious' and 'beekeeper for a day'. Available for groups from 4 to 20 depending on experience, which can be rotated around a full or half day. Presentations and candle making can also be included to the package. Dylan's Restaurants, various locations
Bread Baking classes are offered at the Llangefni bakery. From the Llandudno preparation kitchen, clients can choose from Welshcakes, Bara Brith, cupcakes, and macaron classes, or even a Chocolate Workshop. There are seasonal events too. At Christmas they offer festive baking classes where your clients can make savoury pies and mince pies. At Easter they host an Easter Egg workshop, a sourdough bread and hot cross buns baking class. Class size is from 2 to 10. Bespoke workshops can be offered to meet your clients needs on request. They also have an artist in residence who can come to the restaurant and run a fish printing class and they work with fishermen that can run fishing trips. Rhigar Tours, Llanfairfechan
High end private, bespoke and immersive tours are offered with Rhigar Tours (max 30). They range from a sheepdog demonstration to a unique buggy ride which will take clients up the Carneddau Mountains to see the rare Carneddau Mountain Ponies. Specialising in boat tours on ribs (max 12), Seawake offer a private chartered tour for 1hr. A two day powerboat training course is also offered, where your clients can drive a rib under an instructor’s tuition to gain a level 2 certificate. For more information, contact Bedwyr Roberts.
St George's Hotel, Llandudno
A Sustainable Lobster Safari trip with Sea Fishing Trips is offered from the hotel between April and October for 2-6 people. Transportation can be arranged to the marina and return. On the 2hr evening trip, clients will learn about the mysterious world of the lobster with skipper Carl Davies, a qualified Marine Biologist with over twenty years experience in commercial fishing. They will find out what happens behind the scenes on a lobster potting boat as well as the life and conservation of lobsters. The trip takes in the cliffs of the Great Orme where your clients may see seals, seabirds and the famous wild Kashmiri goats (who are also the mascot for the Royal Welsh Fusiliers).
