Black Mountains Smokery

Black Mountains Smokery produce gourmet, award winning smoked foods in their family run smokehouse in Crickhowell. Their meats and fish are delicately cured and oak smoked. They also produce delicatessen smoked foods.

Visitors can book a smokery tour to find out more about how they work and also tasting sessions to try to excellent produce!  Tours for groups of up to 20 can be arranged in advance between January and September, which also include taste testing. They last around 45 minutes.  

There is enough parking space for one coach. Larger parties can be accommodated with time split between the Smokery and Crickhowell.

Dyfi Distillery

Corris, Machynlleth, SY20 9RF

Located in the UNESCO World Biosphere of Dyfi, the Dyfi Dystillery uses local foraged ingredients in its products. Visitors can make the trip to the tiny distillery to take a look at how they produce their gin in small batches and maybe purchase some to take home with them! Visitors would also have the chance to explore the beautiful area surrounding the dystillery.

Group tours are not offered as it is a small distillery, but they welcome visitors enthusiastic about gin.

There is parking facilities for coaches at Corris Caverns, and visitors can also enjoy the facilities at the site including Corris Craft Centre, King Arthur's Labyrinth and Corris Mine Explorers.

Dyfi Distillery

Gwinllan Conwy Vineyard

Y Gwinwydd, Llangwstenin, Llandudno Junction, LL31 9JF

First planted in 2012, Gwinllan Conwy vineyard has grown each year. The special grapes are chosen specifically to work well with the soil and climatic conditions in North Wales. A unique vineyard experience with the backdrop of the Snowdonia National Park.

Visitors can choose a vineyard tour which could also include wine tasting accompanied by  either a cheese board or grazing board! Tours can take place for up to 20 visitors on set days only.

Each tour lasts up to two hours.

There is parking suitable for a small coach or minibus. Large coaches cannot be accepted.

Hensol Castle Distillery

Hensol Castle Cellars, Hensol, Vale of Glamorgan, CF72 8JX

A tour around Hensol Castle Distillery will give visitors a unique experience by learning the history of gin and the Castle, discover how gins are made from different ingredients and look around the operation of the distillery. Guests will also have the opportunity to distil a bespoke bottle of gin made to their own specific taste. The tour ends with a visit to the cocktail bar and gin tasting.

Groups of all sizes can be catered for. Preferential rates are offered for groups of ten or more. They also offer a package to combine a visit to The Royal Mint Experience.

Loving Welsh Food offer a range of food and tasting tours around the city centre - all showcasing Wales wonderful food, drink, and of course, Cardiff. On the Welsh Food Tour, your clients get the chance to meet a range of producers, hear their stories and taste their produce. Personalised tours can be created - combining the activities with some of Cardiff and the Vales’ many cultural attractions. Bespoke tours on wheels gives the opportunity to visit producers in other parts of South East Wales, including the Vale of Glamorgan, Cowbridge and Abergavenny. 

Group discounts are applicable for a minimum party size of 16.

Private tours can be arranged in French, Italian, Spanish, German, Welsh and English.

Monty's Brewery

Monty’s Brewery, Hendomen, Montgomery, Powys, SY15 6EZ

Monty’s Brewery is located on the outskirts of Montgomery, Powys. The brewery is open to the public during working hours where you can purchase products and merchandise. A brewery talk and tasting tour can be arranged for a minimum of eight guests by prior arrangement. There is suitable access and parking for minibuses.

Moody Sow Farm Shop

Began Road, Old St Mellons, Cardiff, CF3 6XL

The Moody Sow Farm shop is located on the Cefn Mably Farm Park between Cardiff and Newport. Visitors can sample fresh, local produce from fresh sausages from pigs reared in the woodland next to the shop, to their own home cured bacon! They also source their other meat and products from local farms as close as possible to the shop.

There is a small coffee shop at the site where visitors can enjoy a light lunch or a cup of coffee and also a sun terrace where visitors can relax and enjoy the surroundings.  

There is parking suitable for coaches.

Olif

Plas Derwen, Holyhead Road, Betws y Coed, LL24 0AY

Olif is a tapas bar in Betws y Coed serving up Welsh tapas dishes using local, seasonal produce. Visitors can treat themselves to a delicious meal of Welsh and Spanish inspired tapas and also a selection of local ales, ciders and spirits.

The restaurant has 34 covers and there is accommodation for up to 10 guests. Booking is essential for groups over six.

No parking is available but they are centrally located and only a few minutes walk from where coaches can drop people off.

Penderyn Brecon Beacons Distillery

Penderyn Brecon Beacons Distillery, Aberdare, CF44 0SX

Penderyn Brecon Beacons Distillery has one of the best visitor centres in the UK. The secrets of Penderyn Single Malt Whisky and Merlyn Cream Liqueur are revealed during the tour of the distillery which includes the history of whisky making in Wales. Each tour lasts about an hour and ends in the tasting room where visitors can experience the range of single malt whiskies that Penderyn offers.

Tours can be arranged for up to 20 guests at one time and last 1 hour. Master classes take around two and a half hours. Sensible footwear must be worn. Unfortunately, there is no accessibility for wheelchairs.
