Adventure awaits for thrill-seeking watersports lovers visiting the Welsh capital, thanks to a new partnership between prominent luxury city hotel, voco® St. David’s Cardiff and Cardiff International White Water.

The exciting collaboration has inspired a choice of two bespoke overnight stays at voco® St. David’s Cardiff. Guests can choose to book either ‘Rest & Raft’ – an overnight stay, breakfast and White Water Rafting experience (available Monday to Friday); or ‘Bed & (Paddle) Board’ – an overnight stay, breakfast and Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) experience.

Our exciting partnership with Cardiff International White Water presents guests with an incredible opportunity to try some popular watersports. As home to the UK’s first on-demand Olympic standard White Water Rafting and Indoor Wave facility, CIWW offers activities to suit personal ability and those with a hunger for adrenaline! Following an action-packed session, guests can return to indulge in the luxurious comforts of the hotel. Truly a stay which takes in the best of the Bay, and which offers the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation."

The hotel has also teamed up with OVO Bikes, offering clients a chance to hire one of three electric eBikes. From discovering the immediate locality of Cardiff Bay or the city centre via the Taff Trail it is a sustainable and active way to get around.

Available for rent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; OVO E-Bikes combine a conventional bike with a motor – taking some of the effort out of pedalling for the rider. With a top speed of 15.5 miles (25 km) per hour, OVO E-Bikes allow for a greater distance to be covered, faster and with less effort – perfect for those seeking to take in the great outdoors at a more relaxed pace! Cycling the ‘Green Route’ from voco® St. David’s Cardiff, riders can enjoy sights including the Cardiff Bay Wetlands Reserve. Alternatively, a flat and gentle cycle around the marina leads to the small town of Penarth, which offers one of the best views looking back towards the hotel.

OVO E-Bike

We’re very fortunate to be located in a beautiful and truly unique setting, which is why we always encourage our guests to get out and explore. Through our partnership with OVO Bikes, guests can now choose to cycle around Cardiff Bay as well as the city centre by cycling along the Taff Trail; a 55 mile (88.5 km) route between Cardiff and Brecon – taking in the whole area on two wheels, in what promises to be an enjoyable way to be outside in nature. The scheme is a fantastic way for tourists and locals alike, to get around such a fantastic city more sustainably.”
