About Dinefwr Blankets

If you are looking to add an authentic Welsh craft experience to your itineraries, then include a guided tour at Dinefwr Blankets. We are located in Llandeilo, a medieval town known for its strong Welsh culture, independent shops and landmarks such as Dinefwr Castle and Carreg Cennen Castle.

Dinefwr Blankets is known for its modern approach to traditional Welsh blanket design and was recognised as a Country Living Magazine “Standout Makers and Designers 2025” winner.

Led by founder Marlene Davies, the tours offer the opportunity to discover Wales’ heritage through traditional cloth and Welsh blanket patterns dating back hundreds of years. The cultural experience is designed for the Travel Trade seeking authentic, high-quality product for groups and FITs.

The experience includes a hands-on, guided talk introducing guests to the history, patterns and process of traditional Welsh tapestry, with time in the gallery and close-up interaction with original vintage blankets, newly woven cloth and finished blankets. The tour lasts 45min to 1hr and can accommodate groups of up to 50 people, with no minimum group size for standard visits. Where refreshments are included, a minimum group size of 10 applies.

Pre-booking is essential. Car and coach parking is available, and the nearest train is 200 yards down the road.

We are located in a 110 year old building which has steps to access the main shop and display area. There is disability access to the lower ground floor and disability toilets. Parking directly outside.
