About Minera Lead Mines and Country Park

The lead mines offer a fascinating glimpse into the industrial past of the beautiful Clywedog Valley and visitors can explore the country park seeing remains of the lead processing areas from the 18th and 19th centuries, the restored beam engine house, winding engine and boiler houses. There is a country park covering 53 acres of grassland, wooded areas and archaeological sites. The site has an interpretation centre that tells the story of the site and toilet facilities (subject to opening times).
