About Abergavenny Baker Cookery School
Rachael Watson, ex-GP and self-taught cook, opened the Abergavenny Baker in 2015 and won Best Cookery School in the 2018 Food Awards Wales (runner up in 2023).
The beautifully designed cookery school is open and airy with a vibrant décor that perfectly matches Rachael’s teaching style, her love of great food from cultures across the world and her enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge and skills.
Classes are suitable for everyone, from complete novices to accomplished home cooks. Choose from Italian, French, Middle eastern, British, Scandi and sourdough bread classes, or try a new class that combines baking with the fresh, exotic flavours of Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Goa. Food that fills your belly and feeds your soul!
There is space for 10 around the large wooden kitchen table in hands-on classes, or up to 18 for demonstrations. Gift vouchers available and bespoke classes by arrangement.
