About Zip World Tower

Zip World, the adventure company behind the fastest zip-line in the world, has opened Zip World Tower in Aberdare, South Wales.

With four adventures, Zip World Tower has been designed to create a lasting legacy to its deep-routed mining heritage.

Zip World Phoenix is officially the world’s fastest seated zip line, with four parallel lines in two separate zip zones, and was given its name as a nod to the resurrection of the historic site rising from the ashes.

Mini thrill seekers can get their kicks too, with Tower Flyer allowing children to ride alongside one another on 3 separate zip lines.

Tower Climber is an adventure activity course, set high above the ground! The biggest of its kind in the UK, it boasts 3 storeys and a viewing deck, with an additional level for kids and features 69 different elements and obstacles for brave adult adventurers to confront and 14 different elements for juniors to tackle on a designated course. Tower Climber is a truly unique and exciting experience for all the family.

The first two-seater roller coaster of its kind in Europe, Tower Coaster will send you racing round the historic Zip World Tower site, reaching speeds of up to 25 mph over more than 1 kilometre of track. With tunnels, banked corners, dips and peaks, the coaster is an exhilarating way to see Tower Colliery up close – what was once the oldest continuously working deep-coal mine in the UK and with a fascinating story behind it as the only coal mine run by a co-operative of workers in the late nineties and early 2000s.
