We are honoured that Wales has been selected to host the Worldchefs Congress & Expo in May 2026. The prestigious event to be held at International Convention Centre Wales (ICCW) in Newport, will bring together culinary experts, over 1,000 chefs and 5,000 visitors from around the world. The event is an opportunity to showcase Wales’ rich culinary heritage and to confirm our status as a destination for high-quality food.

Hosting the Worldchefs Congress & Expo is a significant milestone for Wales, reflecting the country's dedication to excellence in food and hospitality, and its commitment to sustainability and farm-to-table practices.

The theme for the 2026 Congress, ’Pasture, Passion, Plate,’ embodies the journey of food from its source to the final dish, honouring sustainability and craftsmanship of local Welsh produce. Attendees can expect to experience the finest Welsh ingredients, from lamb and beef to seafood and artisanal cheeses, along with a variety of Welsh beverages, including craft beers, ciders, and spirits, all made with locally sourced ingredients.

The renowned Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins  will be performing at the event, adding a touch of local culture. Her presence will further highlight the rich heritage and artistic talent that Wales has to offer. Katherine has written a song inspired by the profound emotion of Hiraeth —a uniquely Welsh word that captures a deep yearning for a place or feeling, often intertwined with a sense of homesickness and nostalgia within Welsh culture.

The Worldchefs Congress & Expo is more than just a celebration of food; it fosters connections and collaborations within the culinary community by bringing together professionals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, encouraging the exchange of ideas and inspiring new culinary creations. Additionally, the event will feature workshops and presentations led by renowned chefs and industry experts, covering topics from modern cooking techniques to the latest trends in food and beverage, offering attendees valuable insights into the future of the culinary world. The event will be putting Wales on the world stage highlighting why Wales is a destination to include on itineraries.
