Preseli Venture is a well-established outdoor activity company based in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. They have set the high standard for sustainable adventure tourism for nearly 40 years in West Wales, with their low-carbon accommodation and environmentally-conscious activities.
Self-catering accommodation
Nestled on the gentle slopes of the Abermawr Valley, a short walk from the quiet sand-and-shingle beach of Abermawr and the Pembrokeshire Coast path, the Eco Barn is Preseli Venture’s latest addition to their sustainable accommodation complex.
Sleek, light and spacious, the Eco Barn is a low-carbon Dutch barn conversion sleeping up to 8 people across 4 bedrooms: a relaxing rural retreat for small groups. Blessed with soul-stirring floor-to-ceiling views, the Eco Barn’s lofty upper level leads onto a balcony overlooking the surrounding woodland and the wild North Pembrokeshire coastline beyond. There are two long dining tables, each seating 8 people, and a thoughtfully equipped kitchen with a double oven.
Renovations are currently underway at the neighbouring Courtyard Cottages, which will offer a range of sizes to suit all. There will be a one-bedroom cottage bookable by Easter 2025, followed by a four-bedroom cottage in August. Early 2026 will see the launch of a further one-bed cottage.
Booking several rentals across Preseli Venture’s accommodation complex (including the Eco Barn and Courtyard Cottages) is the perfect solution for groups, and activity focused groups such as canoeing clubs and walking clubs.
Adventure activities
At the end of 2023, they announced a shift away from their all-inclusive adventure holidays which previously took place at their onsite adventure centre with fully-catered hostel-style accommodation at the eco lodge.
In Spring 2024, they relaunched with beautifully presented self-catering accommodation, and their new activity booking platform featuring the very best local activity providers, hand-picked and quality-vetted by Preseli Venture.
Travel agencies can now book high-standard accommodation and a full itinerary of outdoor activities all in one place on Preseli Venture’s website, including:

Bespoke holidays
What’s more, Preseli Venture offer a bespoke itinerary service, working with travel agencies and group organisers (as well as directly with clients) to build immersive activity holidays with the individual’s need at heart. With their extensive local knowledge, their team is remarkably good at putting together well-balanced adventure holiday itineraries which flow effortlessly and incorporate sightseeing, history, culture and cuisine. They know how to make a trip feel personal, special and memorable to each client.
Car-free holidays
Preseli Venture has also developed two car-free holidays, each using 100% public transport from start to finish to explore Pembrokeshire’s cinematic coastline. The Car-free Activity Holiday is action-packed with adventures, whilst the Self-Guided Walking Holiday covers 5 epic stretches of the North Pembrokeshire Coast Path between Newport and Solva. Both offer a sustainable choice for climate-conscious clients.
