Loving Welsh Food has launched new coach tours including a Castles & Cuisine, combining Welsh castles, Welsh cuisine, the city centre and the tranquil surroundings of the Vale of Glamorgan, known as the Garden of Cardiff. The tour duration is from 10:00hrs to 1700hrs and includes:

  • Guided visit of Cardiff Castle – one of Wales’ leading heritage attractions and a site of international significance, where your clients will discover a story 2,000 years in the making;
  • Lunch at the Welsh House, in the heart of the city centre, with a glass of local ale or cider followed by a delicious lunch showcasing Welsh food and drink. The Welsh House is an independent regional restaurant and bar serving locally produced, fresh, flavoursome dishes experienced in a comfortable relaxed environment;
  • Guided visit of Fonmon Castle - one of the few medieval castles which is still lived in as a home. The castle was built by the St. John family in the early 13th century and has changed hands only once. During the tour, your clients will find out about the castle’s fascinating history by visiting the stunning Georgian interiors including the hall, drawing room, library and kitchen as well as the extensive gardens, designated Grade II on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales;
  • Tea and home-made cake or optional afternoon tea in one of Fonmon Castle’s beautiful rooms overlooking the landscaped gardens.

Note this tour doesn't include coach hire and Loving Welsh Food are keen to work with coach operators to offer this tour.

They can also create tailor-made tours for your group which can be hosted in English, French, German and Italian.

Other Private and Group Tours on Wheels include:-
