A warm Welshcake is a delicious teatime treat and probably Wales’ most famous recipe. They are traditionally cooked on a griddle/bakestone called Pice ar y Maen or Cacenni Cri in Welsh.
Loving Welsh Food is delighted to announce that Welshcake workshops are now on offer for groups in the heart of the city centre. During the relaxed and fun workshop, guests will learn how to make their own Welshcakes with TV Chef, food author and broadcaster Nerys Howell in a very special location.
The workshop takes place in a beautiful chapel, Tabernacle, in the city centre. Tabernacle is a Welsh-language Baptist chapel in The Hayes, Cardiff and is a Grade II* listed building
The workshop includes a Welshcake demonstration, including information about Welsh food heritage and then guests will cook and enjoy their own Welshcakes, guided by Nerys.
Nerys Howell is a TV chef, broadcaster and Welsh food and drink specialist with over 30 years of experience. She is also the author of three bilingual cookery books which bring to life the traditions, lifestyles and cooking of Wales combined with Nerys’ more contemporary recipes based on Welsh produce.

These workshops are perfect for groups looking for a delicious and enjoyable activity. Available for groups from 8 to 40. They can be booked from Monday to Friday, with special requests on Saturday.
