Wales Best Guides is the Professional Tourist Guiding network for Wales.

Guides work with the Travel Trade to deliver high-quality, year-round experiences, that deliver improved customer satisfaction and increased levels of business retention.

They will listen to the needs of your and your clients’ business, as they hope that your visits to Wales will become part of their business too.

Professional guides can help to build and deliver itineraries that are:

  • tailored to suit any budget and timescale;
  • meet a specialist area of interest or theme;
  • curated with locals, to deliver benefits to both visitors and communities;
  • discovering new destinations throughout all parts of Wales;
  • flexible to adapt to changing weather and travel conditions;
  • conforming to Wales’ public health guidance and regulations;
  • structured to be both time and cost efficient;
  • delivering a Welsh ‘Sense of Place’, showcasing produce and souvenirs from Wales.

All of Wales Best Guides conform to international levels of quality standard, being recognised by Visit Wales (Welsh Government), Institute of Tourist Guiding (United Kingdom) and Federation of European Guides (Europe). All have been successful in both practical and written tourist guiding examinations, with a requirement for continuous professional development. This ensures that the passion and knowledge that they share is contemporary and relevant to visitors. All carry comprehensive Public Liability Insurance for their work. Many have been awarded the ‘Blue Badge’, which accredits them to work throughout Wales. Others hold a ‘Green Badge’, which is a qualification of similar standing, but for a specified geographic region of Wales.
