Alpaca my Boots is an Alpaca trekking company located on our working family farm 3.5 miles outside of Brecon, in the heart of the beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.
Your clients can enjoy a fantastic, family friendly day out at Alpaca my Boots. Our treks take place over 90 minutes on Mynydd Illtyd common, up to Twyn Y Gaer, the remnants of an Iron Age fort. There are generally fantastic views of the Usk valley, the Black Mountains, and of course the Brecon Beacons themselves. Breath taking scenery is guaranteed and there will be ample opportunity to take a good selfie with your Alpaca by your side!
As this is a working farm, your clients will encounter our other animals, including our cattle, sheep and the occasional pig!
The trek is approximately 1 mile long, but does involve some uphill walking and uneven terrain. We can take a maximum of 25 Alpacas out with us. There will be an opportunity to feed your Alpaca before leaving the farm after the trek.
Families are welcome, though we do not recommend our treks for those under 3 years old, unless they have excellent walking ability! Group bookings, up to 30 people are welcome.
Unfortunately, the terrain is not suitable for those in wheelchairs or pushchairs, but babies in backpacks are welcome at no extra charge.
An Alpaca trek makes a fantastic, memorable gift. Vouchers can be purchased from our website.
Booking is essential.
We look forward to seeing you at Alpaca my Boots. Your woolly friend awaits!
