About Cambrian Cottages

Cambrian Cottages welcomes enquiries from both local, UK and worldwide trade partners. Our Award winning barn offers an unforgettable rural escape just twelve miles north of Carmarthen. Half a mile from the main road, yet feeling worlds away from urban life, our three self-catering apartments can be booked individually or together.

If you are a DMC, Travel agent arranging FITs accommodation or South West Wales experience provider, please contact us to chat through your ideas and find out more about how we can work together.

Our location: our central location is ideal to explore the rural beauty of Carmarthenshire or visit the fabulous north or south coast beaches within 40 minutes. Just half a mile from the A485 in Gwyddgrug, Cambrian Cottages are easily accessible from the M4 / A48.

We have developed a visitor guide for to enhance our guests' experience, with everything to know about the Carmarthenshire area and the unique things to do.

Our site: our apartments are set in five acres of farmland, which is full of wildlife and we benefit from stunning views towards Llanllwni mountain, Brechfa wind farm and distant Preseli Hills. Guests are welcome to explore the site and can use our seating area next to the Afon Gorwydd, which winds its way through the bottom of our tranquil valley.

There is ample parking for at least six cars and minibuses can also be accommodated.
A shared 7.2kW charging point is available at additional cost, for guest EV’s.

Our partners: we are starting to partner with a number of local providers to allow our guests to book unique bespoke West Wales activities such as:

• Coastal foraging
• Blacksmith and weaving courses
• Guided walks
• Stargazing (we are in a dark sky area)
• Foraging / fire lighting / cooking (on site).

The properties are self-catering but there are many pubs and restaurants which serve great Welsh food, within a 30 minute radius. Guests can also arrange private dining experiences from a local chef if desired.

Sustainability: we are committed to highest standards of sustainable tourism and are pleased to achieved Green Tourism Gold Award accreditation in 2025. Our sustainable approach has also been recognised nationally as winner of the 2025 Wales National Tourism Awards - 'Bro a Byd' (Going the extra mile) - Sustainability Award.

Our accommodation and facilities: recently converted from a large Victorian barn, saved from dereliction, and lovingly restored, our three eco-friendly apartments are full of history and atmosphere. Each apartment is finished to a very high standard with tiled floors throughout and feature:
