There is a private woodland with a fabulous hand-built wooden Cabin where guests can relax and unwind at their leisure. There is also an enclosed garden, a decked terrace overlooking the river and an amazing stone and slate terrace with fire-pit a MUST for watching our fabulous Dark Skies!
Basel Cottage offers 2 large bedrooms, the Master Bedroom has dual aspect views, Super-King Size Bed and an en-suite. The Second Bedroom has luxurious Zip and Link Beds which can be configured as 2 full size Single Beds or as a Super-King Size Bed and has use of its own family bathroom. The living area consists of a well equipped family kitchen and dining area leading onto a spacious living room with an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. The front picture window boasts a large window-seat overlooking the terrace and hills beyond - ideal for bird watching or relaxing with a good book! The cottage also has a downstairs cloakroom and utility room. There is also Super-Fast Broadband available in the cottage and Electric Car Charging at the property.
Beginners Archery Lessons are available on site facilitated by the owner, a qualified Archery GB Instructor as well as professional instruction in Target Air Rifle Shooting. There is also a fun ''Agricultural 4 Hole Pitch and Putt Golf Course in the grounds as well as a Croquet Lawn (Equipment supplied). Furthermore, a large Games Room houses a full size Table Tennis Table, small Pool/Snooker Table and Darts for guests enjoyment. A full size Basketball Hoop is also available for guests enjoyment.
Basel Cottage is a 'Doggy Paradise' with walks from the doorstep and up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome free of charge.
