Swansea eyes 2017 City of Culture award
Swansea Bay is this week presenting its final submission to the judging panel of the 2017 City of Culture.
The “Cwtch the Bid” campaign sees the city of Swansea partnering with Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire. Swansea Council estimates that winning the title could bring in an extra £70 million to the city’s economy.
Swansea Bay is one of four finalists for the award, along with Hull, Dundee and Leicester.
The winner of the 2017 City of Culture will be named on November 20th.
