Putting the wow into Winter

Putting the wow into Winter

Traditional chic meets ultra modern luxury. They don’t come much grander or festive than this. A truly special and unique country house. Home to one of

the finest Spas in the UK and the largest decked Christmas tree on Anglesey - at almost 10 metres high. Tre-Ysgawen Hall, now available to book via, is the perfect spot for a bit of pre-Yuletide

R&R. Runner up UK Spa Hotel of the Year 2009 and a recent Gold Award from Visit Wales makes this one of the best hotels in Wales. The likes of Demi Moore, Desmond Tutu and even members of royalty have stayed here in the past and loved it. You will too.

Nestling in 11 acres of secluded landscaped gardens, meadow and woodland the four-star Victorian splendour of this character-laden ‘escape from it all’ seems to suit Christmas to a tee – they offer deluxe golf breaks too! The

lavish Spa is the perfect pick place to take a break from the celebrations.

Fine dining at the Noëlles restaurant is the place to put it all back on again!

Built in 1882, you can thank the Pritchard-Rayner family for this beautiful legacy in stone. You can still see the family oil portraits on the first floor gallery. Their fortune was made from copper mining at nearby Parys Mountain. One of the wonders of Wales and the largest man made hole in the world at one time. It has been used as a location for Doctor Who, but its main claim to fame came from providing copper hulls for the British Navy, including HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar.

With its magnificent period oak staircase and a choice of 29 deluxe,

superior and four poster bedrooms, attention to detail is the key to the

design of the Hall’s interior. All rooms have satellite televisions, direct dial telephones and tea and coffee making facilities. With 6 foot round spa baths

in the suites offering mesmerising views of Snowdon, just lie back as you sample the best of traditional style with the latest in luxury fittings.

Opened in 2002, the £5 million Spa includes a 16 metre level-deck swimming pool, Sauna, whirlpool spa bath, steamroom and a gymnasium. Add to this

the therapy and beauty suite and you have the perfect environment to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The beautiful gardens offer colour all year round; Snowdrops, Bluebells and Daffodils in the Spring, wonderful Summer and Autumn colours as the year progresses. The hotel is also proud of its art and you’ll find beautiful sculptures, classical and modern, dotted around the grounds. The hotel has also recently become the first outdoor wedding venue on the island with the unveiling of its new wedding pavilion set within the flower-filled gardens.

The culinary concept for Noëlles came when the team working together at TreYsgawen decided they wanted to share the same vision of creating a unique and never to be forgotten dining experience. The accent is firmly on seasonal, local and regional produce all served in the elegant surrounding of the original Victorian dining room.

Tre-Ysgawen General Manager Neil Rowlands, said, “We like to think we know

a thing or two about what makes a luxury short break so special. It seems to be a place where guests simply put the cares of the world to one side for a short time and restore equilibrium. Our Christmas tree is a local attraction in itself and will take its rightful place during the last weekend in November and marks the start of a great time of the year at Tre-Ysgawen.”

Tre-Ysgawen is offering an exclusive

rate of £99 per room, bed and breakfast, for bookings made from 1st

October-30th November. It is also offering 10% off all spa treatments

when booked in conjunction with this offer.
