New Stena vessel for Holyhead-Dublin service in 2015
Ferry operator Stena Line has announced it is to expand its service from Holyhead to Dublin with a larger freight and passenger ship brought in.
The company will be replacing the Stena Nordica with the Stena Superfast X - increasing passenger numbers from around 400 to 1,200.
It will also increase the freight tonnage on the route with two kilometres of lane space to accommodate a mix of car and freight traffic.
The new vessel will have a range of facilities including dedicated passenger and freight driver lounges, Barista Coffee House, Met Bar and Grill, a retail shopping outlet and other areas for passengers to relax and enjoy their crossing.
