The Millennium Stadium is proud to announce that Cardiff’s iconic venue will play host to Take That’s Progress Live 2011 on 14 and 15 June 2011 – the band’s biggest tour yet and the first time they have toured together as a five-piece since 1995.
Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and Robbie, the most exciting reunion in British pop, confirmed at a press conference that they will hit the road next year for a monumental summer stadium tour around the UK before heading to Europe.
Progress Live 2011 will be a feast for the imagination, charting the evolution and progress of Take That and Robbie Williams through their extraordinary 20-year history.
The spectacular live shows will celebrate Take That’s biggest hits from the last two decades and, will also see Robbie take to the stage to perform songs from his incredible chart-topping solo career.
The Millennium Stadium has proved itself to be the venue of choice for Take That and Robbie Williams since the city-centre arena opened its doors to live music legends over a decade ago, with both acts re-booking consecutive shows due to the high demand for tickets.
“The Millennium Stadium has become a must play venue for all the big acts and I’m thrilled that Take That have announced that they will be returning next summer, said WRU Group Chief Executive Roger Lewis.
“Over 120,000 Take That fans will remember the fantastic Circus Live Tour at the venue last summer, and many will remember the band’s first Millennium Stadium show in 2006, and today’s announcement promises to be another spectacular occasion.
“The Millennium Stadium brought Robbie Williams to Cardiff in 2001 for two sell-out dates however to welcome a five-piece Take That is a landmark occasion.”
