Llangoed Hall, the newly crowned AA Hotel of the Year for Wales 2014, is hot on the trail of another coveted award – this time for its fine dining.
The luxury country house hotel, located in the scenic Wye Valley, has been shortlisted for the Best Restaurant accolade in the 2014 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence.
The winners will be announced at an awards dinner to be held at the May Fair Hotel, London on Monday, November 4.
The prestigious awards were created to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across the recommended properties in Condé Nast Johansens guides. The world-renowned awards, which are a trusted mark of quality recognised by consumers and travel professionals alike, represent the finest standards and best value for money in luxury and independent accommodation.
The 2014 Annual Awards for Excellence have been determined by the combined results of an online voting system, guest survey reports and inspector feedback.
The hotel's managing director Calum Milne praised head chef Nick Brodie and his "fantastic team".
“I haven’t seen this much passion and dedication in individual chefs for a long time,” he added.
“Every single member of Nick’s team shines in their own right as every dish presented has the wow factor. We are all thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award.”
