After 12 years of guiding walkers around the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion coasts, Dragon Trails is branching out into the Brecon Beacons.
In conjunction with Ty Gwyn Guesthouse in Crickhowell, Dragin Trails are offering a series of 4 night walking breaks for 5 to 9 guests in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. With the Black Mountains behind you, the Usk valley at your feet and the Beacons beyond, the beautiful and historic village of Crickhowell is an ideal base for walkers.
Ty Gwyn offers delightful en suite accommodation in double, twin and single rooms in a Grade 2 listed Georgian town house, with full board, including breakfast, packed lunch, home made tea and dinner.
The walks, led by a Welsh speaking guide with a keen interest in the local history and wildlife, are typically 9 – 12 miles long (5 – 6 hours) over terrain that varies from the dead-flat towpath of the Brecon and Abergavenny Canal to the more challenging gradients of the Sugarloaf and Pen-y-fan. From standing stones to chartist caves and from hill-forts to ancient churches, the Beacons are bristling with history and the scenery is second to none.
Prices – including 3 days’ walking and 4 nights full board – double or twin rooms £340, single rooms £380.
Introductory offer – 10% reduction for first break, February 16-20th.
