Corris Craft Centre
The Craft Centre is the starting point for King Arthur’s Labyrinth and Bards’ Quest and also home to 10 individual Craft Workshops. The Craft workshops open between Easter and the beginning of November and many open at other times of the year – it’s best to phone in advance if visiting out of season. Craftspeople can be seen making a range of unique crafts, all of which are available for sale. Many of the Craftspeople do accept commissions too.

mix a range of lotions and remedies to treat a myriad of ailments.   Sarah

also offers visitors the chance to mix their own herbals in the Cauldron’s Corner.

Corris Mine Explorers
Also starting from the Corris Craft Centre is Corris Mine Explorers which provides a rare opportunity for visitors to explore an abandoned Welsh Slate Mine. The slate mine which was worked from 1836 through to the 1970s remains largely untouched since the day the miners left. Visitors can choose from either a 1 ½ hour taster tour or a half day exploration. During both visits, the slate mine is explored whilst mining relics are discovered and stories of life in the mine spill out in a way which almost brings the mine alive.
Corris Mine Explorers is open all year. Visitors need to be aged 11 or over to experience the 1 ½ hour visit and 13 or over to experience the half day exploration.
Due to the nature of this visit places must be booked in advance.
