Brand new Food Safaris in South Wales are helping introduce visitors to great selection of Welsh food and drink as they travel across Cardiff for a different course in each venue.
On their first safari, Welsh food experts Coginio escorted guests to Pier 64 on Penarth Marina for cocktails and canapés, before moving on to traditional longhouse pub the Kings Arms in Pentyrch for their main course.
Coffee and desserts were served in Acapela, a concert venue developed from a converted chapel, where the guests were entertained by resdent harpist Eleri Darkins.
Sian Roberts from Coginio said she was inspired by similar food safaris in Chicago. She hopes to work with a selection of restaurants, pubs, vineyards, tourist attractions, etc to provide a wide range of options.
Prices for the food safari start at £50 per person depending on menu and locations.
