The Celtic Manor Resort was this year’s biggest winner at the prestigious Spa Traveller Awards.
The Forum Spa at the five-star resort claimed no fewer than six awards, more than any other spa in the industry-leading, international awards.
Celtic Manor’s Marieke Teagle took the highly-coveted Best UK Spa Manager title and the Forum Spa was also voted the Best UK Hotel Spa, Best UK Family-Friendly Spa Resort and Best UK Spa for Groups.
Completing the impressive haul in the awards announced to coincide with this week’s National Spa Week, the Forum Spa was also voted Wales’ Best Day Spa and Best for a Spa Day in Wales.
Spa Traveller Publisher David van der Meulen said: “I think winning six awards is some sort of record for the Spa Traveller Awards but it’s richly deserved by Celtic Manor. It’s among the very best spa properties not just in the UK but in the world. The nature of the property, the size of the spa and all the other facilities – the hotels, the golf courses, the family-friendly activities, the food and beverage outlets – make it a unique proposition".
The Forum Spa opened as part of Celtic Manor’s five-star Resort Hotel in 1999 and was awarded the 5-wave grading from the British International Spa Association in its first year of operation.
It boasts 16 private beauty treatment rooms offering the finest beauty treatments and the most contemporary therapies available in a relaxed and ambient setting.
Signature treatments include the Elemis Herbal Steam Temple, a cleansing treatment in which medicinal chakra muds are applied and rinsed by a tropical rain shower.
