Launched this week, Cadw's new website is full of useful information.
You can look up information on all upcoming Cadw events using the search tool, plus read all the latest news and updates in the news section.
There are also pages on the historic environment with up-to-date information on conservation, regeneration and sustainability, as well as grants and the support available.
Wales may be small in size but we’re big on groups. From awe-inspiring fortresses to magical abbeys, Cadw has a great deal to offer groups of all sizes through its new interactive website www.cadw.wales.gov.uk
Our historic sites host a myriad of wonderful exhibitions and events throughout the year. Our calendar runs from April to December and with over 150 separate events planned each year there’s always something going on. From battling knight tourneys to living history encampments and theatrical performances to digital sound and light shows. We’re not short on fun and excitement.
Look out for Illuminata 2011. Illuminata at Caerphilly Castle was a great spectacle in 2010. The walls of the castle’s inner gatehouse and great hall came alive as crowds gathered to see the history of Caerphilly Castle projected in glorious ‘technicolour.’
Looking for a night out with a difference? If you find yourself in the heart of medieval Conwy, head for Plas Mawr, the Elizabethan Townhouse. Spooky evening tours in the company of Blodwen the maid take place there every Thursday. Perfect for making your group’s hairs stand on end. Early booking is essential as the tours are limited to 20 at a time. However, private tours are also offered subject to availability.
One thing that’s definitely not shocking is our prices. Our sites offer great value. Get a group of 15 or more together and we can offer a 10% discount on entry prices. As most of our events are included in the standard entry price there’s even more reason to get a group together and head over to our sites. What are you waiting for?
For more information on our groups offers please telephone 01443 336000 or email email@example.com.
Alongside the new website, Cadw also has Twitter and Facebook profiles. You can get all the latest news and events if you ‘like’ and follow Cadw on these sites.
