A World Class Venue for Cardiff at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, set in the grounds of Cardiff Castle, opens its new £22.5 million development offering world class training, performance, conferences and meetings facilities. It includes The Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall (200-439 seats); the 182 seat Richard Burton Theatre; four rehearsal rooms; an exhibition gallery and a stunning glass-walled, three-storey high foyer and open-air terrace with café bar. Their conference venues provide up to 10 break-out rooms including four new large studios. Two rooms are housed within the historic Antony Hopkins Centre which also has a formal Board Room and open-air courtyard. The contemporary park-side foyer and open-air terrace can accommodate up to 400 delegates. The college’s diverse events calendar includes orchestral concerts, recitals, drama, opera and musical theatre.
