  • Aberglasney

    (Visit time: 2 hours minimum)
    A garden lost in time. This is one of Wales’ finest and most intriguing gardens covering 10 acres of the beautiful Tywi Valley of Carmarthenshire. The story of Aberglasney spans many centuries.
  • National Botanic Garden of Wales

    (Visit time: half day minimum)
    For a glimpse of a green future that’s rooted in the past go to the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Based at an 18th-century estate, this ambitious 568-acre garden is a product of historic and futuristic influences. Its walled gardens, fabulous flowerbeds and ornamental features are ranged around a stunning centrepiece – the teardrop-shaped Great Glasshouse, a monumental computer-controlled masterpiece where the climate is always Mediterranean.
  • National Trust Aberdulais Falls

    (Visit Time: 1 hour minimum)
    The industrial heritage of this area goes back to 1584, when copper was first manufactured. As well as powering industries for over 400 years, this magnificent waterfall inspired artist J M W Turner in 1795. Today, the site houses Europe’s largest electricity-generating water wheel, providing all the energy required for its Visitor Centre.
  • Dylan Thomas Boat House – Laugharne

    (Visit time: 1 hour minimum)
    Where the famous poet spent his final years, writing many of his major works such as Under Milk Wood. With a picturesque view over the Taf estuary, the house now contains audio visual presentations, original furnishings and memorabilia, a themed bookshop, tea room, viewing platform and terrace.
  • The National Showcaves Centre for Wales

    (2-3 hours minimum)
    Voted ‘Britain’s finest natural wonder’. Discover the 10 mile Dan-yr-Ogof cave – perhaps the largest in Europe.
  • Welsh Whisky Tour – Penderyn Distillery
    (Allow 1 hour 30 minutes minimum)
    Penderyn Distillery has one of the best visitor centres in the
    UK. The secrets of Penderyn Single MaltWhisky and
    Merlyn Cream Liqueur are revealed during a tour of the
    distillery which includes the history of whisky making in
    Wales. Each tour ends in the tasting room where the group
    can experience the range of single malt whiskies.
