Myths, Mysteries and Mighty Castles
Head for the south coast of Pembrokeshire through the foothills of the mysterious Preseli Mountains. Stop briefly in the charming little town of Narberth for coffee and to peruse the arts and crafts shops before heading for Tenby. This delightful little historic town is surrounded by three magnificent beaches and a charming harbour.
It also has some great shops and restaurants. The tour continues along the coast to St Govan's and a chance to see the coast at its most spectacular. St Govan's chapel is tucked into a cleft in the cliffs below. St Govan's was reputed to be Sir Gawain, one of the knights of the round table. Historic Pembroke with its mighty castle are next with time to explore the town, the mill pond and the castle before heading back to Fishguard via the county town of Haverfordwest, also dominated by its own castle.
