Operators / Handlers

If you are an operator /handler selling Wales and based in the UK or overseas including France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Canada or the US then you can be listed on our operators / handlers search.

 

Operator types include the following:-

Activities; Coach Holidays; Cruise; Cycling; DMC; Golf; Ground Handlers; Incentive / Event Management; Incoming; Self Catering
Sightseeing; Special Interest; Team Building; Transport; Walking; Disabled Friendly

To register you must meet the following criteria:-
• Operate a quality Wales product
• Have current Public Liability Insurance (including any third party suppliers)
• Have relevant insurance if any vehicles are used to transport clients.
• Have the relevant bonding/insurance/other measures to protect customers and are compliant with Package Travel Regulations if applicable.

 

Conferences & Meeting Venues

If you have a meeting / event facility in Wales you can be listed on our meeting venue search.


Type of venues include:-
Attraction; Academic Venue; Castles / historic houses / country retreats; Conference / exhibition centre; Entertainment / pub / restaurant; Hotel & other accommodation; Health farm / resort / spa
Sport & leisure venue; Town halls & civic buildings; Theatres & arts centres; Unusual venues.

To register you must meet the following criteria:-


Venues with Accommodation:
• Visit Wales or AA Star graded. More details on accommodation grading
• Have a sustainable business event product
• It is advised that you also become an accredited venue within the Accreditation in Meetings (AIM) Standard. More details on the AIM scheme www.mia-uk.org
• You will be asked to complete an “Accessible Venues” questionnaire designed to assist people with mobility, visual and hearing impairments.


Venues without Accommodation:
• No pre grading necessary, however, you need to have a sustainable business event product.
• It is advised that you also become an accredited venue within the Accreditation in Meetings (AIM) Standard. www.mia-uk.org
• You will be asked to complete an “Accessible Venues” questionnaire.

If you have accommodation in Wales and are graded by Visit Wales, or AA you can be included on the accommodation search

Don’t forget: if you offer commission/net rates, group discounts, room/unit allocation, free accommodation for coach drivers, packed lunch or wifi make sure you include these in your listing.

• Attraction must be graded within the VAQAS Cymru scheme. More details on the VAQAS Cymru scheme  
 

Don’t forget if you offer commission/net rates, group discounts or wifi facilities make sure you include these in your attraction listing.

 

Activities

Visit Wales have introduced a new approach to accreditation for outdoor providers in 2015.  If you are an adventure activity provider in Wales you will now be able to self-certify your accreditation by registering on Visit Wales Activity Tourism Accreditation.
